WWE star Rhea Ripley recently appeared on the Under The Ring podcast and discussed her signature entrance stomp and spoke about how she took inspiration from one of her favorite band’s lead singers. Ripley still calls it “The Lucker Stomp” and said it’s just one way music influences her persona.

“Yeah, I get a lot of inspiration from the bands that I listen to and I like to incorporate those things into my entrance and into my gear and things like that. The stomp actually came from Suicide Silence, their lead singer, Mitch Lucker,” Ripley said. “Unfortunately, he passed away but it’s a tribute to him, it’s The Lucker Stomp, it gets me fired up and excited, it also just looks really epic.”

Ripley then admitted that her on-screen character is authentic to her outside of the ring personality, but admitted it’s tuned up to the max.

“Yeah it’s definitely just myself, it’s the side of me that’ll probably get arrested if I’d act like this in public but it’s definitely me. Outside of the ring, I’m a very nice person, so I think that the side of me that wants to speak up and speak out comes out when I’m in the ring, which is cool to see. I do agree when people say that the best wrestling characters is the character of yourself times ten,” she explained, “and that’s exactly who Rhea Ripley is.”
