A continuous battle. A heroin addict reveals how she anally injects the drug during Intervention‘s season premiere on Tuesday, November 29, as seen in Us Weekly‘s exclusive sneak peek.

The A&E docuseries’ preview clip features Katie, a 36-year-old former real estate agent and substance abuse counselor who now suffers from a nearly debilitating heroin addiction.

“I smoke meth every night,” Katie tells the camera. “I always do about a gram and a half. But I don’t really care for meth too much. To be honest, I take it to balance out the heroin.”

One of the interventionists points out that Katie’s veins and even her toes “can no longer take a needle,” and so she has resorted to injecting it “anally.”

“I usually just kind of like pull on the side, and then that’s it,” Katie explains of her current process for taking the drug. “I just lay on my side and make sure it doesn’t come out.”

Katie, who also uses cocaine, ecstasy and marijuana and spends over a thousand dollars a week on drugs, reveals how she earns money to support her habits: “I have a dirty-talk phone line, and I also do fetish videos. Guys pay me to strip for them online, and on occasion, I will meet a fetish client in person also.”
