Following the announcement that Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright decided to separate, fans have been wondering what the future holds for them. For the time being, both of them are focused on maintaining a healthy co-parenting relationship for the sake of their son. So it was a shock for people to see Jax Taylor on what looked like a date with a model named Paige Woolen.

Jax Taylor may not be in season 9 of 'Vanderpump Rules,' but his life with wife, Brittany Cartwright and son, Cruz hasn't slowed down one bit.

However, as soon as the rumors of a new romance came out, Jax was quick to dispel them. He decided to clarify what his outing with the model really was and spoke candidly about what he and the Vanderpump Rules star are planning for their separation moving forward.

Jax Taylor Denies Rumor Of A Romance With A Model

Jax Taylor was recently spotted out to lunch with model Paige Woolen, and considering that he and Brittany Cartwright have recently separated and that the pair looked very relaxed with each other during their outing together, fans jumped to the conclusion that The Valley star was already dating someone new.

Following the rumors, Jax Taylor was quick to clarify, and he seemed sad that people would assume he would move on from his marriage that quickly. He clarified on X that he wasn't dating Paige Woolen and told fans "it's not what you think."

He spoke about it again on May 31 on the When Reality Hits podcast.

"I am not — I repeat not — dating anybody," he stated. "I was seen out with someone and it was strictly lunch. Obviously, Brittany and I are separated and have been for a long time. What we are going through right now is tough. Marriage is not easy."

However, despite the fact that he's currently not seeing anybody, Jax and Brittany have been talking about potentially dating other people.

"We are trying to figure out a lot of different things: therapy, separation and maybe, possibly, dating other people," he revealed. Even so, nothing is set in stone, as they haven't even decided if they're getting divorced. "We are trying to exhaust everything before we have to go down the divorce road — if that would be the case."

Brittany Cartwright And Jax Taylor's Separation

It was Brittany Cartwright who announced, following a lot of rumors, that she and Jax Taylor had decided to separate.

In February, she announced it in a When Reality Hits episode. "Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health."

"I don't know what the future holds," she continued, "but right now my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz. I love you guys and pray for us. Everything will be just fine."

Are Vanderpump Rules' Stassi Schroeder And Brittany Cartwright Still Friends?

Stassi Schroeder and Brittany Cartwright haven't been on the best terms despite forming a friendship on Vanderpump Rules.

A couple of months later, Jax Taylor opened up about the events that led to their separation, emphasizing that it was no one's fault and that they still got along great.

"Being married is not easy... Going through what we went through, with Covid, and then obviously losing our job on Vanderpump [Rules], and then going through all that and then having a baby, there was a lot of stuff that was just piling down on me and it was crushing me —it would crush anybody," he explained.

Despite this, he explained that they were constantly in touch. "She lives down the street, we see each other every single day, we take our son to school every day together, we go to swim class, we go to soccer. We do everything. We're just not sleeping in the same bed."
