Over 85,000 missing persons reports in Japan in 2018

According to a police release, around 85,000 missing persons reports were filed in 2018 in Japan, per JapanPI.

A total of 84,753 complaints of missing people were filed that year. Police confirmed the location of 72,949 of these persons. There were a total of 3,833 verified deaths.

Others accounted for 7,971 of the cases. Almost half of all missing people—47 percent—were discovered on the same day. 79.9 percent of the missing people's whereabouts.

Within a week, 79.8 percent of the people were found.

Around 25,000 individuals are said to have gone. Missing elderly adults with dementia and adolescent runaways are among the others.

Another cousin calls for help

User DarthDurbie on Twitter shared Kandace Schipper's family's contact information and has asked also asked for help in finding who they claim is their cousin.

Someone by the name of Shelby Paul, who is claiming that Kandace Schipper is her cousin, has taken to Twitter to ask the public to help find Kandace.

"my beautiful cousin Kandace Schipper is missing," Shelby wrote. "please help our family share/post this information as we all pray for her safe return."
