On Thursday, the color’s absence was glaring at a Los Angeles screening of Saltburn, the psychological thriller Robbie produced with husband Tom Ackerley, through their production company, LuckyChap Entertainment.
Given that she wasn’t promoting Barbie at yesterday’s event, it makes sense that she’d swap the Barbiecore trend for a more utilitarian look. This consisted of a dark denim set composed of a fitted cropped button-up jacket with mid-length sleeves and a matching miniskirt. She added a feminine touch to the ensemble by wearing knee-high black leather boots with a stiletto heel, and accessorizing with a tiny quilted Chanel bag.

Though we’re still in the midst of award season, Robbie has been departing from Barbie-inspired looks more frequently on the red carpet lately.
For example, at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 14th Governors Awards earlier this week, Robbie opted for a classic black evening gown from Celine. The form-fitting dress featured a silver sequin-embellished halter neckline, which dipped into a plunging V and connected with a pool of cutouts sliced across the bodice.
And at the premiere of Saltburn in November, she wowed in a monochromatic earthy brown outfit pulled from Schiaparelli’s Fall/Winter 2023 couture runway. It included a sheer strapless corset tucked into a pair of ultra wide-leg suede pants.
