WWE Still Has No Idea About MMA Rules Match Stipulation For SummerSlam

May 2024 · 2 minute read

Ronda Rousey returned during the 2022 Royal Rumble event after a nearly three-year absence from WWE. Things haven’t been the best for her even now, as her feud with Shayna Baslzer will culminate in a MMA Rules match at SummerSlam. Now it appears WWE still has no idea about the stipulation.

During the Money In The Bank Premium Live Event, Shayna Baszler attacked Ronda Rousey in the final moments of the match, leading to Raquel and Morgan capitalising to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles back.

The feud became very personal and WWE decided that their feud should end in a MMA Rules match at SummerSlam. However, fans have become concerned over the lack of explanation for the match.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that WWE has no idea what the stipulation will even entail just days before the SummerSlam Premium Live Event.

We do know the reason nothing was announced is because they hadn’t settled on exactly what MMA rules means.

Ronda Rousey’s WWE run is also nearing its end. We will have to wait and see whether WWE will have something good planned for the MMA Rules match, as it could be Rousey’s last match in the company.
